HSSC Meeting #5 (March 17, 2018)

As summer approaches, HSSC members and their executive board, are now starting on this summer's Student Leadership Conference (SLC) preparations. These preparations include brainstorming ideas for breakout sessions and local olympics games.

During this meeting, the HSSC members had the opportunity to meet and interact with people from the Office of Elections, Teach for America, and even had a presentation and activity regarding the importance of computer science.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our last HSSC Meeting of the school year on May 12th, with the upcoming HSSC members for the school year 2018- 2019.

Secondary Student Conference 2018
"Courage to take the Lead"

Over the course of two days, students had the opportunity to network amongst legislators and other students from across the state. Delegates also learned about student and legislative concerns in education and advocated for issues they were most passionate about. The students that attended this conference enjoyed interacting with like-minded individuals as they engaged themselves during this unique and civic-based opportunity. 

This was truly an exciting experience for everyone. We would like to give a warm mahalo to all who participated in this year's Secondary Student Conference. See you all again next year!
