Hawaiʻi State Student Council announces the selection of Maverick Yasuda as the 2022-2023 student member on the Hawaiʻi State Board of Education

The BOE student member selection committee with the approval of Board chair Catherine Payne has selected Maverick Yasuda from Waipahu High School as the next student member on the Hawaiʻi State Board of Education.
Maverick Yasuda is an incoming senior at Waipahu High School on Oʻahu. Hunter has served as a representative for his class, as well as the Junior Class President this past year. He also has been a Kamehameha Scholar for four years, frequently participated on his school’s volleyball team, and is the leader of the Kapolei High School AWANA Club.
