National Student Leadership Week to be celebrated by Hawaiʻi's student leaders FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 2, 2021 The Hawaiʻi State Student Council (HSSC) is pleased to announce that it will be celebrating this year's National Student Leadership Week (NSLW) to be held from April 18-24, 2021. NSLW is an annual theme-based week dedicated to recognizing and supporting the vital role of student leaders. Since its origin stemming from a U.S. Presidential proclamation in 1972, NSLW has been a national celebration of students sponsored by National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, and National Student Council. This year's theme is "Leadership Unlimited", highlighting students who had to use their creativity, perseverance, and positivity to overcome challenges they had never seen before—but have proved that no obstacle was too difficult, no limit was too strong for their leadership. HSSC is proud to celebrate Hawaiʻi's amazing students who gave their all to lead their schools and communities during this time of uncertainty. HSSC encourages student councils to participate in the NSLW “Virtual Spirit Week” on social media from Monday, April 19 through Friday, April 23. Be sure to use #NSLW2021 to join the digital conversation! Stay tuned for highlights during the week by following our posts on social media.
